To install the Netflix app on Ubuntu, type the following commands in a terminal:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ehoover/compholio sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install netflix-desktop
I strongly suggest that you first launch Netflix via the terminal.
If you get the error « Unable to test extended attributes at location ‘/home/username/.wine-browser’. », then you can correct the problem with the command:
sudo chown -R USERNAME:USERNAME ~/.wine-browser
(Replace « USERNAME », twice, by your username).
If nothing happens when you try to launch Netflix, try
rm -Rf ~/.netflix-desktop rm -Rf ~/.wine-browser
